Using GCIS and GCIS Junior for the BRIDGE Law
Your school can use the Georgia Career Information System (GCIS) and Georgia Career
Information System Junior (GCIS Junior) to fulfill the requirements of the BRIDGE
Law. The Georgia Career Information Center (GCIC) is committed to providing support and tools used to meet your BRIDGE Law obligations in a timely manner.
In partnership with the Georgia Department of Education, GCIC has implemented a user-friendly administrative option that enables you to track, record, and report your students' progress.

House Bill 400: Building Resourceful Individuals to Develop Georgia's Economy Law
(BRIDGE Law)
The General Assembly of Georgia enacted the BRIDGE Law (House Bill 400) on May 20, 2010.
This law was passed to ensure that Georgia’s 6th - 12th grade students were made aware
of available college and career options.
GCIS-GDOE Advisement Checklist
The GCIS-GDOE Advisement Checklist is the official list used by the Georgia Career
Information Center. This checklist includes grade-level specific college and career activities found in GCIS and GCIS Junior. These activities are used to satisfy the BRIDGE Law requirements for the Georgia Department of Education.
