Informal perspective about a program of study.

How I Got Started: If there’s one thing I know, it’s how to make beautiful creations with my hands. I have always loved working with clay and making whole villages and towns. When I took art classes in high school, I loved the mud under my fingernails that proclaimed me as an artist.

What I Want to Study: I never knew there was so much to being an artist. I need to master the basic techniques used in drawing, sculpting, painting, and design in order to be successful. I will also need to be able to work in many different mediums like clay, metal, plaster, and textiles in order to create a variety of different products for clients. In addition, I want to study art history so I can understand how art reflects society through the ages.

What I Can Do In The Future: With this background I can work as a sculptor and create public art for the enjoyment of everyone. Or I can work as a teacher and help others explore their artistic side. But, my real love is claymation. I want to work for a movie studio creating entire scenes out of clay.
