Terms and Conditions for use of GCIS

Purpose
Georgia State University
, a unit of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, has developed and/or obtained rights to intellectual property that comprises the Georgia Career Information System (hereinafter referred to as "GCIS"). By using GCIS, you agree to be bound by the following Terms Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use GCIS.

Use of GCIS
Georgia State University
grants permission to use GCIS for personal benefit to research career options and create personal career development plans. Printing individualized and selected information for use in counseling and instructional programs provided by schools and agencies is permitted and encouraged. Using the content for commercial gain is prohibited.

Copyright
GCIS contains valuable proprietary products of Georgia State University, the University of Oregon and other contributors embodying substantial creative efforts and confidential information, ideas, and expressions. All of GCIS is protected by U.S. copyright laws and by international treaties. The right to use GCIS does not transfer title, copyright, or ownership of GCIS to you or any other person. You agree that GCIS will at all times include the following copyright notices:

You agree not to remove, obliterate, or cancel from view any copyright, trademark, confidentiality or other proprietary notice, mark, or legend appearing on any GCIS material. You also agree not to modify, reverse engineer, disassemble, or decompile any part of GCIS.

You agree to take reasonable steps to keep GCIS confidential and free from unauthorized use of access, and will not divulge or make GCIS accessible to any unauthorized persons.

Warranty Disclaimer
GCIS is provided on an "AS IS" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, currency, non-infringement, or title or of merchantability or of fitness for a particular purpose, other than those warranties which are implied by and incapable of exclusion, restriction or modification under applicable law. In no event shall Georgia State University be liable to you or any other person for loss of business or profits, or for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, arising out of the use of, or inability to use GCIS, even if Georgia State University was previously advised of the possibility of such damages, or for any other legal claim by you or any other person.

Violation of Terms and Conditions
If you violate these terms and conditions, you understand and agree that your access to GCIS will be terminated, and you will forfeit any license fees paid.
