Objective: Help students make the connection between school and careers

- Print a Connecting School to Careers Worksheet for each student
Materials
- Connecting School to Careers Worksheets
- Pen or pencil for each student
Activity
- Explain that the purpose of this activity is to understand how classes at school are connected to careers and work. Ask the students to think about school activities and classes.
- Give each student a Connecting School to Careers Worksheet and a pencil.
- Ask the students to write their name on the top of the Worksheet.
- To play the game, instruct students to read the school activity or class in the left column and then in the right column, write down the name of a career or job where the activities or information learned in the class is used.
Evaluation
- When the students have completed the activity, discuss their answers. Ask the students which school activities and classes they like best and which careers they like best. Talk about the connection between school and work.
