Topic: Awareness of the interrelationship of life roles.
Standard: Describe the various roles an individual may have (e.g., , friend, student, worker, family member). Describe work-related activities in the home, community, and school. Describe how family members depend on one another, work together, and share responsibilities. Describe how work roles complement family roles.


Procedures/Activities


Step:  1 Duration: 10 min.
Have students draw a picture of their family members.

Step:  2 Duration: 5 min.
Have students label the people in the pictures and share them with the class.

Step:  3 Duration: 15 min.
Distribute the “My Family and Friends” activity sheet and help students complete the form. Stress to students that they may use a person’s name more than once.
